Birchbox (Millie Mackintosh) July 2016 box review.

Hi all. Today I’m going to be reviewing July’s Birchbox. Incase you don’t know about Birchbox it’s a beauty monthly subscription box. It costs £10.00 plus £2.95 p&p. You get 5 items and some are sample size. This particular box was in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh and it came well packaged in a lovely pink box and a canvas like drawstring bag. Presentation was very good. Delivery took a while so did have to email the company twice.

The box comes with a little booklet that explains what’s in the box and some behind the scenes stuff with Millie Mackintosh. I will now tell you about the products that I recieved in this box.

1. LOC x Millie ultra-gloss lip pencil in Bohemian Rose.

This is a full size product. This is actually made and named by Millie Mackintosh herself. The lip pencil is very soft on application and very shiny. The colour of it is so pretty. It moisturises your lips and the colour lasts most of the day. This is quite a neutral shade so would suit everyone. How to use it- use the tip to line your lips and then fill them in. This lip pencil has got a RRP of £9.00. And its a twisty lip crayon not one that you have to sharpen.

2. John Frieda frizz ease forever smooth anti-frizz primer.

This is a full size bottle containing 100ml. The RRP on this is £9.99 so that’s like the whole cost of the box just on that one item. You could choose between the primer or the in-shower treatment so I chose the primer. I’ve used frizz ease products lots in the past and they never fail to disappoint me. My hair is naturally wavy and gets frizzy so this is the perfect product for me. This really does stop my frizzy hair and leaves me with soft and shiny hair.

3. Nails Inc nail varnish in Kings Road.

This nail varnish is a lovely rose gold sort of metallic and it’s a foil nail varnish. It is a best seller one. Think it’s a sample size one as theres only 4ml in it. It looks lovely on. The RRP for this product is £15.00

4. Caudalie micellar cleansing water.

This micellar water is in a 50ml bottle. Not sure if it’s full size but it’s still a nice size bottle to have. It removes all my make-up easily and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. There’s a really lovely scent to it which is Orange and lemon blossom and watermelon and mint leaves. You don’t need to rinse this off afterwards. The RRP for this product is £15.00.

5. Elemis hydra-boost day cream.

This was a sample size tube. It left my skin feeling soft and moisturised.  There is marsh samphire extract and starflower oil in it which over time helps with skin texture. Very simple to use- simply apply every morning after cleansing. The RRP for this product is £39.00.

Photos are below. The Elemis one I haven’t got a photo for as used it all up so I do apologise.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to read my review.

Have a lovely day.

Michelle. X
