Hey. So I decided I wanted to do Blogmas this year. It’s the 1st of December & most people will be opening advent calendars so I thought for this blog post I would tell you which advent calendars I’ve purchased for the whole family. So that’s women, men & children.
** MY DAUGHTER LUCY & MY SON JOSHUA’S ADVENT CALENDARS **
• LOL SURPRISE #OOTD ADVENT CALENDAR.
My Daughter loves Lol Surprise so when I saw this calendar I knew I had to get it for her. It retails for £29.99 & in the calendar itself you get 1 full size doll, not a lil sister & 24 shoes, outfits & accessories. At first I thought it was a little expensive not realising you get a doll in it so I think it is quite good value for money.
• MATCH ATTAX 2018/19 ADVENT CALENDAR.
My Son is a HUGE football fan & loves collecting football cards. He had this calendar last year & loved it so it was a no brainer that he would choose it again this year. The calendar contains 24 days & each day has a packet of 5 cards in the door. This advent calendar retails for £20 which I feel is a bit expensive as if you bought the packs of cards separately you would get more for your money.
• LEEDS UNITED ADVENT CALENDAR.
My Son is a massive Leeds United fan & I was recently shopping on the website for Christmas gifts & I found this calendar. It’s a 24 day chocolate advent calendar. It retails for £5 which I think is a tad expensive but was reduced to £2.50 which isn’t too bad in my opinion.
• LINDT ADVENT CALENDAR.
I purchased this one for my Daughter as I knew she would like it & when I showed her it she said she liked it straight away. This is a chocolate advent calendar with 24 days with a mixture of some of their most popular chocolates in. I got the calendar for £5 reduced from £6 which I think is a good price.
** MY PARTNER ASH’S ADVENT CALENDARS **
• LYNX LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN ADVENT CALENDAR.
My Partner isn’t an advent calendar lover but we didn’t want him being left out. I managed to get this calendar from Superdrug for £15 reduced from £25. Most men like Lynx as does my partner which is why I chose this one for him. It’s a 12 day calendar containing a mixture of their products as well as some accessories. Mind you I wouldn’t of paid £25 for it. We also got him a Leeds United chocolate advent calendar too as he is a Leeds fan as well.
** MY ADVENT CALENDARS **
Now there’s going to be a few advent calendars here because quite simply I couldn’t resist. I told myself I’d only get a couple this year which turned out to be over 10.
• SLEEK CAN’T WAIT ANOTHER DAY ADVENT CALENDAR.
I actually wanted this calendar last year but it was sold out when I got round to purchasing it. This year I kept popping on the Boots website to see if it had been released and I think I managed to get it on its release date. This calendar cost me £35 which I think is well worth it. It’s a makeup calendar which contained things such as lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, lip liners, eyeliners, mascara, nail polishes & more. I’ve already unboxed this as I did an Unboxing video of it on my YouTube channel.
• ACTIVE COSMETICS ‘12 DAYS OF BEAUTY’ ADVENT CALENDAR.
I picked up this calendar from Poundshop.com for £7. It’s a 12 days advent calendar & contains makeup & makeup tools. The calendar had 3 items in it what I would call ‘filler gifts’ but other than that I think it was worth it. What I liked the most was the inter-changeable palette. Like the Sleek calendar I’ve already unboxed this calendar.
• LOTTIE LONDON 12 DAYS OF SLAY ADVENT CALENDAR.
I got this calendar from Superdrug for £14.99. I’ve already unboxed it for my YouTube channel. It contains things such as lipsticks, eyeshadows, glitter shadows & more. There were no filler gifts in it at all which is good. I wanted to get this one as I’ve not really ventured much into the brand before. Well worth the money.
• W7 EXTRAVAGANZA ADVENT CALENDAR.
So I picked this calendar up from the W7 website. Wasn’t intended on buying it but they had an offer on where if you spent £20 or more you’d receive a FREE goody bag worth £50 & me being the bargain hunter that I am I just couldn’t resist picking the calendar up. It’s 24 days & a makeup calendar containing a mixture of makeup products. From looking at what you receive I would say it’s worth the money but don’t think I would spend any more on it.
• AMAZON BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR.
Again this wasn’t a planned purchase but on Black Friday it was reduced to £30 from £50 so had to get it. I was considering getting it at one point but didn’t bother but when I saw it had been reduced I had to snap it up. It contains a mixture of beauty products such as makeup, skincare, bodycare & more. Definitely well worth the money with over £195 value.
• NYX SUGAR TRIP ADVENT CALENDAR.
This calendar was the main one I wanted to get this year. I wanted it last year but by the time I went to purchase it it had sold out. It contained all lip products & I have very thin lips so in a way I wasn’t disappointed that I didn’t get it however it was high on my radar to get it this year. This year it’s completely different. Absolutely love the packaging design of it. It contains a mixture of face, lips & eye products. It cost me £50 but don’t think I would of spent anymore on it.
• LATEST IN BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR.
I was looking at this calendar & thought it looked really good but had no intention of purchasing it but in the end it was a random purchase. It cost me £60 & I believe it has over £200 value to it. I get Latest In Beauty monthly beauty subscription box so in a way I was glad I got this one as I love the subscription boxes- they are my favourite. This calendar contains a mixture of makeup, skincare, Haircare & more. Definitely well worth the money.
• GLOSSYBOX ALL I WANT ADVENT CALENDAR.
Now this calendar was going to be my ONLY calendar this year. I saw this be unboxed on YouTube & was amazed & had to get my hands on it. Packaging alone is beautiful. It cost me £75 because I’m a Glossybox subscriber, was retailing for £99 for non-subscribers. It contains a mixture of beauty products such as makeup, skincare and more. Well worth the money with over £330 value.
• DIY ADVENT CALENDAR FROM MY SISTER.
Now we decided to make each other an advent calendar this year with the rules being 25 days with all things from the Poundshops. However, that didn’t exactly happen as such as we didn’t stick to the budget, hehe. Think it’s a fab idea to make homemade advent calendars for people.
• DIY ADVENT CALENDAR FROM ONE OF MY YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBERS & FRIEND.
We decided back in September to make each other an advent calendar to open on our YouTube channels. This was a fab idea & I enjoyed choosing things for her. We have both put up our videos & I absolutely loved everything I got. This is a fab idea for any youtubers to do.
• CADBURYS DAIRY MILK ADVENT CALENDAR.
This is a traditional chocolate advent really. Cadbury is my favourite brand of chocolate hence why I chose this one for myself. It was £1.50 but I know you can usually get it for £1 but as I was in a shop already I thought I’d pick it up there & then.
• NAUGHTY ELF ADVENT CALENDAR FROM POUNDLAND.
I must admit I only purchased this to see what the naughty elves get upto behind each door, plus the chocolate of course. This was only £1 from Poundland so totally worth it.
So thats our advent calendars this year. Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. I’ll leave my YouTube channel & Instagram link below as my advent calendars will be featured heavily on both & have already done so, I’ll also pop photos of what I get each day on here too.
Thank you as always for reading.
Until tomorrow for Blogmas Day 2,
